Team India's batting showed once again just how vulnerable it is when the visitors were bowled out for 107 on Day 2 of the second Test against England. Fast-bowler James Anderson made the most of overcast conditions at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London to wreak havoc and pick yet another five-wicket haul.
As the Indian fans were furious with Virat Kohli and Co's performance with the bat, Rohit Sharma and Virender Sehwag shared their views on the second Test via tweets late on Friday.
Rohit asked fans 'to not forget' the team's past laurels, saying the players deserve more support. "Let’s not forget these are the players who got India to the number 1 ranking. How about being little supportive when the going gets tough. This is our team," wrote the Mumbaikar on Twitter.

Rohit quickly got support for his tweet from none other than Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. The legendary actor stated that Team India 'can do it' in the second Test. "I agree with you .. ! COME ONNN INDIA .. WE CAN DO IT," wrote Bachchan.

Sehwag, on the other hand, was not as kind towards the Indian batsman. The dashing former Indian opener took a veiled dig at the Ravi Shastri-coached side, suggesting the batsman lacked character.
"The conditions were very difficult to bat but England bowled superbly and made great use of the conditions. Real test of character for a batsman is when you can do well in difficult conditions against a good bowling attack," wrote Sehwag on Twitter.

The inept technique coupled with fragile temperament of Indian batting was thoroughly exposed against a top quality England seam attack on a rain-hit second day of the second Test. While skipper Kohli had insisted that there are no technical problems but the horrendous batting effort painted a sorry picture.
Put into bat under overcast conditions, the frailties of a wobbly top order was there for everyone to see as veteran James Anderson (5/20) made them hop, skip and jump on a track with his 26th five-wicket haul in longest form. He was ably complemented by Chris Woakes (2/19), Sam Curran (1/26) and Stuart Broad (1/37). The excessive seam movement became too hot to handle despite only 35.2 overs being bowled on the day.
